COATS Trading Features (May 25, 1987)

Two of the companies involved in the Lac des Isle platinum play doubled this week. Led by TSE- listed Madeleine Mines, which reached a new high today of $11.25, Belleterre Quebec Mines rose to $1-$1.07 while Boston Bay Mines was up to $6-$7.

Silver properties are gaining new life as the price for “the poor man’s gold” hangs in at the $8(US) mark. One of the beneficiaries is Langis Silver, up to $1.60-$1.70 with about 50,000 shares trading. Agnico-Eagle Mines holds about 30% of the company.

Matt Berry, a Casa Berardi property holder, was up to 68 cents -73 cents .

Grandad went to $1.30-$1.40 on over 200,000 shares, an active stock by COATS standards.

A cease trading order on Aggressive Mining was lifted recently. Soon after, the stock was trading at 38 cents -43 cents .

Starrat Nickel Mines hung in at 10 cents this week on 25,000 shares. August Porcupine also held steady at 90 cents while Wabigoon Resources improved slightly to 80 cents .
