News that Kidd Creek Mines plans to resume drilling on claims held by Chance Mining & Exploration helped the issue. Chance was a touch better at 70 cents -80 cents . Kidd plans to drill six holes starting in July on Chance’s property north of Timmins, Ont. The drills will be sniffing for base metal, such as those being mined at Kidd’s hugh facility east of the Chance property.

Tyranex Gold was also better at 85 cents -95 cents . The company has cut a deal with Toronto-listed Gunnar Gold which will see Gunnar participate in an exploration program on the old Tyranite gold mine property near Shiningtree, Ont. Another private company, Mill City Gold, plans to start processing the Tyranite tailings this summer.

Biron Bay Resources firmed up to $1.20. The company has completed a private placement which raised $800,000. Also, another $250,000 has been raised via a flow- through share offering. The flow- through cash will fund exploration on a property near Red Lake, Ont.
