Grandad Resources continued its winning streak on the COATS system trading more than 600,000 shares for the week. The issue hit a new high of $2.15 before settling back. Last week, the company announced a strong drill hole from a property south of Timmins, Ont. The hole cut 28.4 ft grading 0.23 oz gold per ton. La Fosse Platinum was steady at $7.25 on 5,700 shares. The company is completing a busy field season in the rugged Labrador Trough area of northeastern Quebec.
Edomar Resources traded some volume, but closed unchanged at 27 – 32 cents. The company says that it has applied for a listing on t he Alberta Stock Exchange. A flow- through financing has also been completed which will fund work on the company’s Larder Lake, Ont., property.
Midrim Mining was quiet at 28 cents. The company is being taken over by a private firm, Marvic Resources, which has as a principal partner, David Bell of Hemlo fame. Marvic has several properties in the U.S.
