Encouraging drill results continue to come from Card Lake Resources gold property in the Harker-Holloway area north of Kirkland Lake, Ont. The issue, which was steady at $1.50, reported gold values from six additional holes. Wide-spaced holes are intersecting multiple zones carrying gold values up to 5.3 g per tonne in one of the latest holes. Winteroad Resources also reported some drill results from a property in nearby Garrison Twp., Ont. The best results include a strong 31.5 ft grading 0.295 oz gold per ton from a mineralized quartz carbonate breccia zone. Chance Mining and Exploration was steady at 90 cents . Kidd Creek Mines has exercised its option to acquire a 100% interest in Chance’s claims just west of Kidd’s big mining operation north of Timmins, Ont. Kidd plans to start additional drilling on the claims this month.

In the Wawa camp, Goldun Age Resources completed a $600,000 underground evaluation of the old Parkhill gold mine The work gives the company a 50% interest in the property. Citadel Gold, an Alberta- listed issue, has the right to earn a 50% interest in the project from partners Goldun Age and Dunraine Mines by spending $650,000 on more exploration.
