In a quiet week on the COATS system a couple of issues stood out from all the others. Chance Mining was up to 85 cents from last week’s closing of 69 cents . Chance retains a 10% net profits in some Timmins, Ont., area claims which were recently acquired by Kidd Creek Mines.
Kidd is currently focusing on an area where previous drilling cut 30 ft grading 2.4% zinc.
White Star Copper Mines was the week’s other noteworthy issue. It gained 30 cents on last week’s close to end the session at 65 cents . The Toronto company also holds some claims in Kidd Twp. near Timmins. Like the Chance claims, they are situated close to Kidd’s massive sulphide deposit.
Aggressive Mining was up to $1.05 on news that the company has signed a letter of intent with Shamrock Pharmaceuticals to acquire all the issued and outstanding Shamrock shares.
Shamrock, a Waterloo, Ont., based company, sells over-the- counter products, both private label and brand name, across Canada.
First Canadian Gold which retains 90% of a 10% net profits royalty in a Malartic Twp., Que., property closed at $4.00. Late last year, Aur Resources exercised its option to acquire 100% of the Malartic property.
Atlantic Goldfields remained steady at $5.50.
