The amalgamated company, to be called McNickel, will conduct exploration to earn a 60% interest in a promising nickel-copper discovery near Lac St. Jean, Que. Shares of Hanson Mineral Exploration traded at 45 cents -50 cents , up slightly from last week. Hanson shareholders are expected to receive one unit of McNickel for five shares of Hanson.
Regal Goldfields was better this week at $1.18-$1.23. The company says it is negotiating to acquire two base metal properties and expects to close the deal soon.
Hucamp Mines which owns property adjacent the Geco Mine in the Manitouwage Lake area of northern Ontario has reached a new low of 25 cents . A major underground exploration program by Noranda Inc. has been under way for several years in an attempt to locate possible deep ore zones on the Hucamp claims.
Midrim Mining tested a new low of 5 cents -10 cents . The company has interests in some U.S. placer gold properties. Goldstake Explorations was also easier at $1.05-$1.15 this week.
