Chance Mining and Exploration, which retains a 10% net profit interest in ground adjoining the big Kidd Creek mine near Timmins, Ont., was an active trader this week. The Chance property, located in Kidd Twp., has been the focus of recent drilling by owner Falconbridge Ltd. A deep massive sulphide deposit is being sought on the 160-acre base metals bet. Falconbridge has conducted down-hole pulse EM surveys, and is planning additional deep drilling this year. Over 90,000 shares of Chance Mining changed hands this week in the 41 -60 range, up almost 20 from the previous week’s high of 41 *
A cease trade order against Dona Lake Resources, in effect since Oct 28, 1986, was rescinded recently by the Ontario Securities Commission, the company now being up to date with its filings.
Asquith Resources was unchanged this week at 65 bid — 75 ask. The company has a drilling program currently under way on its Shining Tree area gold properties in northern Ontario(see story).
