COATS Trading Features (January 18, 1988)

Trading activity has improved on coats following the dismal performance recorded in November, 1987. During that month, the average daily value of shares traded fell to a record low of $1 million. Total value was a mere $21 million for the month. In December, activity improved, with daily value increasing to $6.7 million and total value to $147 million.

A busy trader this week was Findore which saw 127,500 shares trade hands. The issue, was unchanged at 55 cents . Findore has optioned a property in Garrison Twp., Ont., from Newfield Mines. Newfield was stronger at $1.45.

Golden Crescent, which is being reactivated by Vance White interests, is raising $400,000 of flow- through funding for an exploration program on several gold properties near Kirkland Lake, Ont. The company is also seeking an Alberta Stock Exchange listing in the near future. The issue was 75 cents bid and $1 ask.

Aggressive Mining, which is little more than a shell, perked up to trade more than 500,000 shares this week. The high trade was 45 cents .
