Hanson Mineral Exploration was a volume leader this week with 224,331 shares traded in the 35 cents -60 cents range. John McAdam is president of this company, which has several Ontario and Quebec mineral properties in its portfolio.
A 19.7% control block of Atlantic Goldfields was acquired recently by Kash Investments, a private company controlled by Ronald Goguen of Moncton, N.B. Atlantic Goldfields, a cash-rich junior with nearly $12 million in cash, has interests in three U.S. gold properties hosting established reserves. The company’s shares traded down slightly at 62 cents .
Recent assay results from drilling on Asquith Resources’ gold property near Shining Tree, Ont., haven’t had much impact on that company’s shares. The best result reported was an intersection grading 0.5 oz gold per ton over 8.9 ft, but Asquith traded down to 50 cents on moderate volume this week.
