COATS Trading Features (April 04, 1988)

A takeover offer for 750,000 shares of Newfield Mines helped perk up the share price of that issue to $1.85. Partners T & H Resources and Jonpol Explorations are making the bid. The latter companies hold a large tract of land in the Garrison Twp. area east of Mathe son, Ont. Encouraging gold values have been received from exploration.

Seaway Base Metals traded more than 100,000 shares to a high of 26 cents this week. The company owns a copper property in Turnbull Twp., Ont. Another volume leader continues to be Tarzan Gold. The company holds a big claim block in the Casa Berardi area of Quebec. The shares reached a high of $1.65.

Pelangio-Larder Mines came to life, trading more than 100,000 shares for the week. Pelangio has varying interests in a sizeable portfolio of claims in Ontario and Quebec. New issue Transgold slipped back to 75 cents -85 cents after trading up to $1.05 just three weeks ago.
