Placer Pacific, the affiliate of Placer Dome Inc., which is developing several big gold mines in Australasia, traded 64,475 shares today. The price advanced to $2.30 per share. Winteroad Resources was steady at $1. The company has acquired an additional 10 claims in Garrison Twp., Ont.
Probably one of the busiest townships in the province, from an exploration point of view, Garrison is located near Matheson. The new claims adjoin ground held by Noranda Inc and Destiny Resources on which a gold discovery was made earlier this year.
