COATS trading features (December 19, 1988)

This week, mining issues drifted slightly lower on thin volume. Exxeter Resources continues to be one of the few active traders. It was slightly better this week with 218,000 shares traded in the 37 -45 range.

Kinova Minerals, which has been quiet for the past few months, saw 260,000 shares traded in the 15 -20 range. This company had three gold properties in northern Ontario, but the company’s lawyers say it no longer has the properties and is essentially a corporate shell. A meeting has been scheduled for Janurary to consider the reorganization of the company.

Pinetree Explorations also perked up this week after several months of dormancy. Pinetree saw 95,000 of its shares traded in the 22 to 67 range. Last week’s bid-ask for this issue was 18 -22 *
