COATS Trading Features (February 27, 1989)

Asquith Resources was a busy trader this week with 79,000 shares changing hands in the 60 cents -80 cents range. The company has returned encouraging drill results from a gold property in the Shiningtree area, north of Sudbury, Ont.

Hanson Mineral Exploration was active at 30 cents -35 cents . This company, run by John McAdam, has properties near Timmins and Matheson, Ont., and Chibougamau in northern Quebec. The company is reported to be planning an amalgamation with Perch River Mines.

Also active was MacDonald Mines Exploration with trading in the 35 cents -45 cents range on a volume of 46,000 shares. The company took on new life last year when shareholders elected new board members and regained a 49% interest in Les Mines Gallen, which owns a shutdown zinc mine in the Rouyn- Noranda area of Quebec.

Gold Bar Resources reached a high of $1.92 on a volume of 73,300 shares. The company recently finished drilling a gold property in Chester Twp., Ont. Final assay results are still awaited.

Nearly 300,000 shares of Seaway Base Metals changed hands in the 14 cents -33 cents range this week.
