COATS (over-the counter) Teddy Bear up 10 cents

Volume leader for the holiday week ended Dec 26 was Milestone Resource which closed at 19 cents on volume of 117,000 shares. A couple of months ago, Milestone completed a shallow drill program on the Ore Fault nickel-copper property in the Bird River area of Manitoba. A small subeconomic deposit was re-drilled as part of that program, but the results revealed nothing ne w.

Adding 10 cents to its share price this week of $1.60 was Teddy Bear Valley Mines. This Toronto-based junior company has an interest in some gold properties being explored by Noranda Exploration in the Harker-Holloway area of northeastern Ontario.

With claims nearby, Card Lake Resources slipped 2 cents lower to close at 33 cents on volume of 60,000 shares. American Barrick plans to drill a minimum of 4,000 ft on Card Lake’s claims in Harker Twp. By making cash payments of $250,000 and spending $750,000 on exploration, the senior company can earn a 100% interest in Card Lake’s property.

Strike Minerals saw one trade at 45 cents . The company is exploring a gold property in the Shining Tree area of Ontario as part of a joint venture agreement with Unocal Canada. The 16-claim property is in Churchill Twp., where a $1.7- million program is planned over several years.

Langis Silver & Cobalt saw some activity but shed 5 cents off its price of 20 cents . There were four transactions totalling 42,000 shares of Langis. Meanwhile, the shares of Wye Resources gained 10 cents to close at 25 cents after six transactions. McNickel Inc. was steady at 25 cents , after a total of eight transactions involving 31,000 shares.
