Allied Northern Resources says it intends to explore a 50-claim property in McMurray Twp, near Wawa, Ont. Additional diamond drilling is planned by Noranda Exploration on the Band-Ore gold property near Shebandowan, Ont. Work to date there has outlined geological reserves totalling 998,108 tons grading 0.119 oz gold per ton. Band-Ore retains a 25% carried interest in the property which straddles the Trans- Canada Highway. Band-Ore slipped 3 cents lower to close at 5 cents .

Midrim Mining was active this week gaining 1 cents with trading in the 9-11 cents range. The company is participating in a drilling program on a Montana base metals property. According to President E. F. Carr, previous records report production of copper, gold and silver during 1911-1917 from one of six abandoned mines within the claim group.
