A Toronto-based company hoping to develop a practical production process for peat fuel in Ontario is Peat Resources. By summer’s end, the company says it will have a bulk sample of peat fuel available for burning tests by Ontario Hydro, the largest potential customer. The bid- ask for Peat Resources remained unchanged at 10 cents -20 cents .
Moving 10 cents lower to $1.50 was Victoria Graphite, a junior with graphite prospects near Portland, Ont. To date, the company reports drilling has outlined possible reserves totalling 750,000 tonnes grading 7.04% graphitic carbon on its property.
Recently de-listed from the Vancouver Stock Exchange and now trading on COATS is Force Resources. It was an active trader this week in the $1.50-$2.20 range. A review by The Northern Miner of a feasibility study completed by Force on its Moapa project in Nevada showed it to be deficient in a variety of technical areas. The company’s shares were delisted from the VSE because of concerns over the reliability of assay results from the Moapa property.
