Shares of Gold Bar Resources posted a gain of 30 cents to close at $1.40 after 62 transactions. The company has interests in a copper- nickel project in Groves Twp. and gold properties in Chester Twp.
An active trader in the past several weeks, Milestone Resource was up 3 cents to 27 cents . There were 37 trades in the Milestone issue. A diamond drilling program has been completed on the company’s claims in the Bird River area of Manitoba confirming a small low-grade copper-nickel deposit outlined by earlier work on the property. A gain of 25 cents was tacked onto the price of Victoria Graphite. The issue closed at $1.15 after 15 transactions. Some other active issues were Windy Mountain Exploration, advancing by 5 cents to $2.75 and Seaway Base Metals which moved ahead by 8 cents to close at 18 cents . Seaway has a gold property in Chester Twp., Ont.
After announcing options on two gold properties in the Shining Tree area of Ontario, Strike Minerals slipped 5 cents to 55 cents . The properties host known gold occurrences explored in the early 1930s. Teddy Bear Valley Mines shed 10 cents to close at $1.40 after four transactions. Teddy Bear is active in the Harker-Holloway gold camp in a joint venture with Noranda.
