Channel expands African holdings

While it continues to explore its gold concessions in Burkina Faso, West Africa, Channel Resources (TSE) is acquiring interests in two additional properties in the area.

By gaining a 95% stake in these properties, each of which comprises about 500 sq. km, the junior will increase its holdings to 7,200 sq. km in six concessions.

Meanwhile, drilling on the Bouroum concession’s Welcome Stranger deposit has encountered several high-grade gold values, and Channel expects to drill another 20 holes before the start of the rainy season. Engineering and metallurgical work will follow.

Additional drilling will test the adjacent F-12 deposit where wide, low-grade oxide gold values have been encountered.

The drilling will include holes between the two zones, which are 100 metres apart.
