Geological mapping and sampling at the Cerro Cobre copper-gold porphyry prospect in Chile have returned anomalous values for partners Agate Bay Resources (VSE) and Demand Gold (VSE).
Soil geochemical sampling outlined a copper anomaly measuring greater than 500 parts per million (ppm) over a 2.5-sq.-km area in the southern half of the property.
The anomaly contains a central zone measuring 1 by 1 km, with values of more than 1,000 ppm copper and up to 0.8 ppm gold.
The joint venture is awaiting results from a follow-up induced-polarization survey.
