A second hole (No. 93-12) on Cercal Mineral’s (ASE) base metal property in Portugal has been completed, to a depth of 620 metres.
The hole, drilled to test gravity anomaly A, intersected felsic tuff and breccia with moderate sericite-chlorite alteration.
As with the previous hole, there were no significant variations in rock density or sulphide mineralization to account for the gravity anomaly. The company is planning down-the-hole electromagnetic surveys to test for a conductive source for the gravity anomalies, either beyond the bottom of the holes or off to the side.
A third hole will be drilled, about 1,000 metres southeast of Hole 93-12, to evaluate anomaly A further.
