Centurion strikes gold in eastern Utah

Salt Lake City-based Centurion Mines (CTMC-Q) has cut significant gold and silver mineralization in sedimentary rocks at its Kings Canyon property in east-central Utah,

Drill hole 10 encountered mineralization, from 250 to 260 ft., grading 0.615 oz. gold and 2.3 oz. silver per ton. The hole also encountered grades of 0.112 oz. gold from 270 to 280 ft., and 2.9 oz. silver from 430 to 450 ft.

The assays were confirmed by repeat analysis by Bondar-Clegg.

The reverse-circulation hole was drilled 3 miles from the nearest known occurrence of commercial-grade mineralization. The company plans additional drilling around the discovery, and will deepen the hole.

The company is exploring for sedimentary-hosted gold deposits similar to those found in the Carlin trend.
