Mining equipment manufacturer Caterpillar (CAT-N) has partnered with road construction company Claycrete to market Claycrete products worldwide.
Based in Perth, Western Australia, Claycrete has developed a unique process of converting problematic, mine-site soils into all-weather, long-lasting, environmentally friendly pavement.
Claycrete has provided an ecofriendly substitute for roadways at mining projects for companies around the world, including Anglo-Gold Ashanti (AU-N, AGD-L), BHP Billiton (BHP-N, BLT-L), Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX-N), Newmont Mining (NMCT, NEM-N), Rio Tinto (RTP-N, RIO-L) and the governments of Western Australia, Algeria, Ivory Coast and Nigeria.
Claycrete says its roads improve safety, tire life, productivity and control dust. With the partnership, Caterpillar gains exclusive rights to sell Claycrete projects.
