RSG Global is performing a resource estimate based on diamond drilling in the Sanu Filanan zone, as well as the JJ zone. The two sub-parallel, en echelon structures are 300-400 metres apart.
Cassidy reports encouraging results from reverse-circulation (RC) drilling on both zones. Hole 27 intersected 17.58 grams gold over 16.45 metres (from 11 metres down-hole), and hole 20 cut 29.13 grams gold over 1.5 metres (at 78 metres down-hole).
To date, the RC program has spanned 3,500 metres.
The company plans six more diamond drill holes in the X-Vein area, where previous drilling returned 4.32 grams gold over 7.8 metres and 151.8 grams over 2 metres.
The Kouroussa project comprises 880 sq. km and is envisaged as an open-pit mine with underground potential.
