Underground Superintendent
Campbell Mine located in Balmertown, Ontario, is looking for a highly motivated, strong team player, for the position of Underground Superintendent for their 1800 tpd underground operation.
Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Mine General Manager, the position is responsible for all facets of the Responsibilities underground mine department. You will ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally responsible management of mining operations. The Underground Superintendent participates in the budgetary process and ensures that the mining activities are carried out in accordance with Company policy and Government regulations.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 to 10 years relevant experience with proven management skills, and a related engineering degree from a recognized university. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are requisite in leading a workforce of 194 people.
Campbell Mine has produced 9.5 million ounces through 50 years of continuous production. The current annual production is 300,000 ounces, with nine years of ore reserves. The Red Lake area has a population of approximately 5,000 people. We boast excellent medical facilities, schools, and the availability to numerous recreational opportunities afforded by the surrounding lakes.

with Canada’s First Diamond Mine
BHP Diamonds Inc. operates the EKATI Diamond Mine in Canada’s Northwest Territories. This mine went into production in October, 1998. The company provides air charter transportation to the site from Yellowknife and selected communities in the region. Staff accommodations on site are in a comfortable, modern facility.

Maintenance Superintendent – Process
Reporting to the Maintenance and Supply Manager, the incumbent plays a key role in promoting a Safety First approach to all maintenance activities at EKATI Diamond Mine, Northwest Territories.
The Maintenance Superintendent develops and manages all maintenance activities for the Process Plant, including mechanical and electrical maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance engineering, services maintenance and fuel distribution.
The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for establishing safe and efficient work practices consistent with production and cost targets, and establishes strong team-based relationships with managers and superintendents.
Applicants should have the following qualifications/experience:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical)
- 10 Years experience in mine operations and maintenance management
- Demonstrated leadership skills in past positions
- Strong communications skills both written and oral
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Good understanding of predictive and proactive maintenance principles
This is a 4 day in / 3 out position, working 12 hours per day at the mine site.
Salary will be determined according to qualifications and experience.

The Department of Energy and Mines is seeking a resident geologist to administer the resident geologist’s office in Creighton. Headquartered in La Ronge, you will also assist in maintaining the La Ronge office through the supervision of the mining recorder/claims inspector and mines clerk to ensure mineral industry compliance with the Mineral Disposition Regulations.
You will participate in the mineral resource appraisal/land use planning process and monitor and provide consultative services to the mineral industry. To keep abreast of geoscience activities and augment geoscience research, you will undertake your own field projects, which will focus on the structural context of metallic mineral deposits.
To qualify for this position, you will have:
- a Ph.D. in structural geology supplemented by experience in Precambrian (or other structurally complex metamorphic terrains) mapping and mineral deposits geology;
- registration, or eligibility to register, in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
You will have knowledge of:
- the mineral industry and exploration techniques and methodologies;
- computer technology, which includes computerized drafting, mapping, database and word processing software.
You will have demonstrated the ability to:

An opening exists for a
Mining Engineer/Mining Geologist
to assist a small team of operators to maintain and increase annual production to above 100,000 tonnes of concentrate which requires the mining or removing of over 500,000 tonnes of overburden and crude ore annually.
Principal Functions:
Mine Planning: Provide technical leadership and geological support in the definition, development and mining of the ore bodies.
Management: Lead, direct and manage a small team of foremen, heavy plant mechanics and mine operators.
Training: Use a hands-on approach in directing and training available young and energetic and maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
Education/Experience: Mining engineering or geology degree with long time, proven, practical experience in open pit planning, development and mining. Experience in control and maintenance of equipment is essential
Language: Proficiency in English
