Mining Analyst

As a Mining Analyst, you will be expected to support a wide range of business development and execution initiatives for mining transactions which may be domestic or cross-border in nature.

You will work with other professionals in an unstructured environment where creative thinking and individual initiative are encouraged.

The daily activities of a PricewaterhouseCoopers Mining Analyst include:

Business Development – Preparing new business presentations, conducting fundamental industry research and quantitative analyses, reviewing and organizing financial data, and developing qualitative analyses.

Financial Analysis – Developing company valuations and implementing financial models, as well as conducting financing, comparative and pro forma analyses.

Transaction Execution – Acting as an integral part of the engagement team and interacting with clients and various levels of management.

We are seeking a Mining Analyst who can bring a perspective which differs from a traditional commerce background as a result of relevant experience in the mining industry. Accordingly, candidates with undergraduate degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, or Economics will be considered. The position is ideal for an individual who is seeking several years of challenging work experience prior to furthering their education through an MBA.

Mine Geologist

This is a staff position reporting to the Chief Geologist. The successful candidate will provide geological services and expertise to mine operations and will be involved in all aspects of mine geology work.

The ideal candidate should possess a Geology Degree with one to three years of experience in mine geology and related mineral exploration work.
