Senior Mine Engineer

Diavik Diamonds Inc. (DDMI) is the manager of the 60/40 joint venture between DDMI and Aber Diamonds Ltd. of Vancouver, BC. DDMI maintains a corporate office in Yellowknife, NT and an engineering office in Calgary, AB. DDMI is presently involved in the feasibility study on the proposed diamond mine at Lac de Gras, NT. To assist in this study, DDMI is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer.

The Senior Mine Engineer will be part of a team of engineers in the Calgary office with specific responsibilities in the design of the proposed Diavik diamond mine at Lac de Gras. Applicants must have a mine engineering degree, and must be eligible for P.Eng. Certification in the NWT. The successful candidate will possess 8-10 years experience working in a related position in a mine setting. Ideally, applicants should have experience working at a senior engineering or management level in both open pit and underground operations. This position will lead to a senior management position at the proposed diamond mine. Applicants must have knowledge of computers and mine related computerized applications.
