Cantex Mine Development (TSXV:CD) says drilling continues to define a high grade lead-zinc-silver system at the North Rackla project in Yukon. The system is said to have similarities to Broken Hill Type (BHT).

In the GZ zone 550 metres southeast of the high grade Extension sector, hole YKDD20-177 intersected 7.3 metres of 24. 5% zinc, 5.4% lead and 104 grams silver per tonne beginning at 46.1 metres below surface. Cantex said that to establish how this zone relates to the Main zone massive sulphides, it will either have to remove the overburden and/or perform additional drilling.

Hole YKDD20-170 in the Central sector, hit an intersection of 4.7 metres grading 21.1% lead-zinc with 66 grams silver, including 2.8 metres of 26.3% zinc, 7.2% lead and 99 grams silver beginning at a depth of 549.9 metres.

Likewise, drilling 250 metres northeast of the Discovery sector returned high grades. Hole YKDD20-178 intersected 5.2% lead, 4.7% zinc and 31 grams silver at the dolomite-argillite contact. The company noted that the intersection has been gouged and faulted subsequent to deposition of the sulphides. The end of the drilling season prevented two planned additional holes to test the area further.

Cantex is the 100% owner of the North Rackla zinc-lead-silver property. Results from 13 additional holes are pending.
