Canamax finds high grade zinc

A high grade zinc discovery have been made by Canamax Resources (TSE) on the company’s Mt. Hundere property near Watson Lake, Yukon. The drilling, located two miles north of the company’s Jewelbox Hill zinc-lead-silver deposit, cut several rich sections of zinc assaying up to 40.59% zinc and 5.75 oz silver per ton in a 19-ft section.

Other strong holes in the North zone include 35.5 ft grading 4.62% combined lead-zinc and 17 oz silver. A total of 15,272 ft of drilling has been completed on the North zone.

Canamax says the North zone deposit is a replacement skarn, similar to the Jewelbox deposit, which hosts reserves of 2.74 million tons grading 12.9% zinc, 8.4% lead and 1.9 oz silver. The deposit also hosts inferred reserves of 500,000 tons of a similar grade.
