Canadian output of precious, base metals climbs

Canadian production of copper, nickel, lead, gold and silver increased between June 1997 and June 1998. However, output of non-ferrous commodities iron ore and asbestos was down over the same period.

The statistics shown below were compiled by Natural Resources Canada (NRC) and are included in the June 1998 issue of Production of Canada’s Leading Minerals.
