Canada, China ink trade deal

An agreement signed by Canada and China will allow for the exchange of mining knowledge and goods between the countries, says Natural Resources minister Ralph Goodale.

The deal was signed by Goodale and his Chinese counterpart, Sun Wensheng, during a Canadian trade mission to the country in January.

Goodale says the agreement will “lead to more opportunities to share expertise, to use new technology, to work together on environmental issues, and contribute to our mutual economic growth.”

He made the remarks a a geomatics seminar in Beijing.
