Canaco drills Lady Pond

Zinc and copper minerals are the focus of a drill program under way at the Lady Pond property, near Springdale, Nfld.

Canaco Resources (CSE-M) is testing two parallel, 800-metre-long conductors that were outlined in a down-hole survey last winter. Both are 500 metres along strike of a low-grade zinc-copper zone that was discovered in the late 1980s by Falconbridge (FL-T).

Mineralization appears as pervasive stockworks and stringers and is associated with a zone of alteration up to 135 metres wide. Also, strong calcium and sodium depletion were found at surface, across the projection of the stringer sulphide zone.
