Can-Mac Sept. 15

Chip sampling across the vein has returned an average grade of 5.4 oz gold per ton. A raise completed 20 ft into the vein has exposed abundant visible gold, t he company says. A surface stockpile of 1,000 tons grades about two ounces gold. The program was designed to test a vein that assayed 4.45 oz gold

across 4.5 ft and along 85 ft of strike. Can-Mac’s original objective was to mine 3,000 tons of rock with an estimated grade of 1.5 oz gold. However, the underground sampling suggests the grade will be much higher.

Samples from the program are being sent to different assay labs in order to confirm results. Can-Mac feels a total of 4,000-5,000 tons of material grading 3 o z gold can be mined from the zone.

Development is proceeding on schedule with completion of the program expected by the first week of October. Stockpiled ore will then be trucked to Yellowknife for processing on a toll basis during the winter.
