Encouraging surface gold showings have been assayed by partners Can-Mac Exploration (VSE) and Glen Auden Resources (TSE) on their Topboot Lake property south of Timmins, Ont. Located in the Swayze area, the Topboot claims protect several quartz-carbonate veins which strike across the claims. A north striking vein, up to 3.6 ft in width, returned assays from hip samples ranging up to 0.42 oz gold per ton across a width of 13.1 ft. Grab samples from a nearby shear zone assayed up to 6 oz gold. A diamond drill program will test the surface showings, Can-Mac says.
On the nearby Saxton Lake property, also held under joint venture by both partners, prospecting has identified two altered shear zones displaying widths up to 1,300 ft.
