Encouraging results have been received by Can-Mac Exploration (VSE) from the company’s drill program on the Boston Twp., Ont., property. A 4,200-ft diamond drill program followed up high grade results from a surface sampling program which yielded values up to 1.18 oz gold per ton from grab samples.
Drilling on a mineralized stringer zone up to 30 ft in width, returned 0.25 oz across 4.5 ft and a 6-ft section grading 0.18 oz in the first hole. Another section in the same hole cut 30.5 ft grading 0.06 oz. Included in the section was a higher grading 2-ft section assaying 0.367 oz.
A second hole also intersected multiple sections, the best of which assayed 0.188 oz across 2 ft. A third hole intersected 5 ft grading 0.14 oz.
Weather permitting, the company plans to perform a fill-in drill program which will test a 2,000-ft section of strike.
