After completing a 5-hole drill program, Cameco has dropped its option on a gold property owned by Golden Marlin Resources (VSE) near Yellowknife, N.W.T. Cameco had the right to earn a 51% interest in the property. Golden Marlin said the 775-metre drill program was designed to follow up a previous high-grade drill intersection of 23 grams per tonne, as well as test various IP (geophysical) anomalies and structures inferred from seismic and magnetic surveys. The maximum gold values encountered during the drill program turned out to be uneconomic, however, at only 1.3-1.8 grams gold over widths of one metre.
