Cambior and Guyanor Ressources find gold at French Guianese project

Core drilling by Cambior (CBJ-T) and Guyanor Ressources (GLR.B-T) has confirmed the presence of gold mineralization at the Yaou project in French Guiana.

The 30-hole, 4,390-metre program will pave the way for a new resource estimate, which is expected this month.

Assaying yielded high-grade values for the Yaou Central A zone. Highlights from this and other zones are shown below.

The partners will drill an additional 10,000 metres this year. Future work will include infill drilling on the main deposits, as well as drilling to expand known mineralization.

The current resource at Yaou stands at 13 million tonnes grading 2.5 grams gold per tonne (equivalent to 1 million contained ounces).

Cambior is funding the exploration under an agreement that allows it to earn a 50% interest in the 150-sq.-km project.

Under a separate agreement, Cambiex Exploration (CBX-T) can earn 30% of Cambior’s interest.
