Calnor begins drilling Kenora gold prospect

A 3,000-ft drill program is under way on Calnor Resources’ High Lake gold prospect 25 miles west of Kenora in northwestern Ontario.

Drill targets were located by a comprehensive trenching and sampling program which extended the length of the W zone from 300 to 600 ft. The W zone remains open at both ends with only half of the known strike having been tested by drilling. Earlier drilling on this zone encountered ll.7 ft of 0.196 oz gold per ton and 8.7 ft of 0.445 oz.

The trenches tested four other zones (A, B, C and P) and two anomalies identified by earlier drilling. Among the better results, in the B zone, a 6.2-ft-wide intersection graded 2.28 oz, including 2 ft of 6.1 oz. In the C zone an 11.5-ft-wide intersection graded 0.325 oz. In the W zone 5.5 ft graded 0.39 oz, including 2.5 ft of 0.66 oz. Another 9 ft in this zone graded 0.1 oz.
