Bunker Hill drilling returns good intercept

Collared on the 15 level, the hole returned 70 ft averaging 9.4% zinc and 1.1% lead within a longer section grading 7.4% zinc and 1.2% lead. The mineralization occurs 1,200 ft below the nine level access tunnel and 2,600 ft above the 28 level, the deepest in the mine.

“The area of interest lies in unexplored territory below the Quill ore zone which was previously known to exist down to the mine’s 14 level,” said Jack Kendrick, president.

The Quill zone is being prepared for mechanized mining on the 10, 11 and 12 levels, he added.

The new mineralization occurs within 100 ft of existing haulage facilities and Kendrick confirmed the Quill is still open below the 15 level.
