Located 120 miles northeast of Winnipeg, the 1,500-acre Sannorm adjoins the former San Antonio gold mine which is being evaluated by Rea Gold Corp. (TSE) of Vancouver.
Highlights from a program, which brings the number of holes drilled at Sannorm to 16, include a 26-ft intersection which averaged 0.153 oz gold per ton.
In a bid to establish near-surface reserves, the company has been drilling at 75 ft centres to a depth of 500 ft on a small portion of the “A zone” which hosts approximately 200,000 tons of grade 0.122 oz gold per ton.
“Further evaluation will entail a bulk sample by way of a decline,” the company said. “Exploration will focus on the balance of the A zone to define additional near-surface reserves.”
The A zone has a known strike length of 2,300 ft and has been intersected at a depth of 1,200 ft.
