Broadlands expands Bolivian holdings

The acquisition of the Ancohuma concession near Yani, Bolivia, gives Broadlands Resources (VSE) a second property in the country.

Broadlands, which has been working on its nearby La Suerte property since mid-1993, notes that the new ground is similar in that it contains widespread gold mineralization in narrow, high-grade quartz veins.

The company must spend at least US$100,000 in the first year, as well as US$1.5 million in work and cash payments.

Surface channel sampling on Ancohuma returned values of 5 metres grading 42.9 grams, 2 metres grading 39.2 grams and 5 metres grading 11.3 grams gold per tonne.

Broadlands plans additional sampling and trenching in preparation for drilling, to evaluate the project’s bulk tonnage potential.

Work on La Suerte has returned erratic gold values to date and, as a result, the company is planning more infill sampling before proceeding with further exploration.
