Brass-bar scam goes to trial

Alexandra Montgomery and William Nestor, founders of International Nesmont Industrial, will appear in court this month to respond to fraud allegations dating back to 1993, when brass bars were substituted for gold at Nesmont’s refinery in Richmond, B.C.

After an investigation into the matter, the commercial crime section of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police charged each of the Nesmont founders with five fraud-related charges.
