Vancouver —
The 51B, Peter and Taylor veins are being tested. Two raises were recently completed on the 51B vein, returning average grades of 0.3 oz. and 0.24 oz. gold per ton. The company has assigned a resource of 6,600 tons to the developed block.
Drilling is planned for the untested area east of the Taylor workings. Before the closure of the Pioneer mine in 1960, about 2,250 tons grading 0.55 oz. gold per ton were mined from the Taylor vein. The company says more resources remain in the historic workings, though a tonnage estimate has not yet been compiled.
