Bralorne Pioneer pours gold bar

After lying dormant for more than 30 years, Bralorne Pioneer Gold Mines (BPN-V) has revved up the mill at its Bralorne property near Pemberton.

Past production from the historic Bralorne-Pioneer gold mines tops 4.1 million oz. gold.

Bulk sampling is under way on the property and so far a 40-oz. dor bar was poured from the gold recovered.

After initially processing some lower grade ore, higher grade material from the Peter Vein is being fed to the mill. A 3,500-ton stockpile of Peter Vein material is stacked beside the mill, which will be ramped up to 125 tons per day over the next two months.

Sampling of the Peter Vein at the 800 level (at 1,050 metres elevation) returned high gold grades of 19.8 grams gold along 18.3 metres of the vein. The company notes that the inferred mineral resource of 26,163 tonnes grading 9.5 grams gold appears to have underestimated the grade of the Peter Vein.

Another 500,000 oz. gold (inferred) are estimated to be contained in blocks above and below the 800-level.

Bralorne-Pioneer expects to recover half the gold by gravity separation and the bulk of the remainder by flotation. The company is seeking a buyer for the flotation concentrate.
