Boreal hits gold

Geochemical sampling has Boreal Exploration (BOR-M) off to a good start at two exploration permits near Chibougamau, Que.

Four grab samples returned between 2.2 and 33.3 grams gold per tonne. All came from a 5-to-7-metre thick, carbonate-rich breccia formed along the contact of a gabbroic intrusion and sedimentary rocks. Boreal says the zone is similar to epithermal mineralization found along the famous Carlin trend of Nevada.

Follow-up work is planned.
