The Mines Accident Prevention Association of Ontario (MAPAO) has given Boart Canada its 1992 Award of Excellence in safety and loss control.
The annual award recognizes the company that reduces medical injuries in each of five categories. Boart won in the “mine contractors” category and had the lowest overall rating in all five categories.
MAPAO is planning an awards ceremony at its annual mining health and safety conference on May 28 in Toronto.
