Infill drilling on the Cata Preta property in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state is attempting to outline a reserve minable by open-pit methods.
Black Swan Gold Mines (TSE) can earn a half interest by spending US$1.25 million and issuing 8 million common shares.
The planned drilling will target a 400-metre-long section of a north-south-striking mineralized zone. Previous widely spaced drilling within the zone returned values of up to 6.27 grams gold per tonne over 25 metres.
Initial results from the drilling are expected before the end of August.
