Encouraging results have been released for four drill holes on projects operated by Black Pearl Minerals (BLKP-C) east of the Band-Ore Resources (BNDR-C) discovery in Thorneloe Twp., west of Timmins, Ont.
The four holes are part of a 20-hole program that is testing induced-polarization (IP) targets on two properties held by Black Pearl, one in joint venture with Comaplex Minerals (CMF-T) and the other in joint venture with International Larder Minerals (LRDR-C) and a privately held company, Prospectors’ Alliance.
Hole 2, drilled on the Larder-Prospectors’ Alliance property, toward the Comaplex-Black Pearl property, intersected 7.7 metres grading 7.7 grams gold per tonne, including a 4.8-metre interval grading 12.3 grams per tonne. Hole 3, drilled about 22 metres to the east of hole 2, cut a 1.4-metre zone with a gold concentration of 2.7 grams per tonne.
The company reported that holes 1 (on the Comaplex claims) and 5 (on the Larder claims) intersected rocks with “anomalous gold values.” Hole 1 overshot its intended target, a chargeable zone found in the IP survey, and the target may be drilled again.
Assays for hole 4, drilled on the Larder claim block to the east of holes 2 and 3, have not been received, and drilling continues on hole 6 to the west of the mineralized holes. Black Pearl is bringing a second drill to the property to speed up testing.
The 26 Comaplex claims are held 60% by Black Pearl and 40% by Comaplex. The nine Larder claims are held 50% by Black Pearl, with the remainder held by International Larder and Prospectors’ Alliance.
