Shares of Black Gregor fell from a weekly high of 51cents to close at 40cents for the week ended Feb. 27. Active on the week, the company traded 126,000 shares. Black Gregor has been drilling a series of geophysical and geochemical anomalies on its property near Marathon, Ont., and shares have been trading actively for several weeks. Remaining steady at 50cents was Panthco Resources. Panthco has recently entered into a financing agreement with Pamorex Minerals to explore Panthco’s property in the Kirkland Lake gold camp. Three formerly producing mines are near the property.
Goldbar Resources traded 15,500 shares between 55cents and 65cents to close at 65cents. Goldbar has significantly increased its interest in a Chester Twp. gold project near Gogama, Ont.
Along with joint venture partner Canadian Gold Resources, Goldbar has an extensive drilling program in progress on the property. Further financing has been arranged for surface and underground drilling as well as the construction of a mill. Canadian Gold traded 7,500 shares, remaining firm at 10cents a share.
