Junior Gold Pan Resources (VSE) announced that the first round of drilling was completed by Billiton Minerals at its Big 3/La Rae claims near Battle Mountain, Nev. According to Gold Pan, one hole returned 125 ft. of 0.02 oz. gold, which includes 35 ft. of 0.05 oz. gold per ton. The results of the program are still being evaluated. Billiton has options to earn a 60% interest in these claims.
