Bentley ups reserves at Bagdad Chase mine

A recently completed drilling program has increased open pit reserves at Bentley Resources’ (VSE) Bagdad Chase mine located in the Mojave Desert of southern California.

Reserves have increased to 1,102,500 tons grading 0.1514 oz gold per ton, up from the previous estimate of 949,699 tons grading 0.147 oz.

Bentley is working towards starting up a 350-ton-per-day operation in October at a cost of around $4.5 million. The property is located in the South Mojave Desert, 52 miles east of Barstow, Calif.
